Here is the way I see it............and most likely the wrong view. If we have to go through another scary season with Crawford in net whos Defence would you rather have in front of Cory, Subbans or Kanes? - blkhwkfn
This is why I was all in on Parise! The club doesn't necessarily need more or better Dmen per say, but forwards who play 3 zones. Parise is that in spades.
A commitment to playing D as a team, and coached that way with the sitting guys down who don't, will do wonders............ Was it Kane, Sharp and Kieth who were sat down for a period in Nashville the year they won the cup?
Q needs to get back to that mindset and insist on team D.
Again, as Ogi said I'm a wuss on this. Way above my pay grade and soooo many variables to compute. A kid like Subban who checks a lot of boxes (right handed shot, PP pointman, PK guy, grit, youth, salary, high ceiling, puck mover) Ever see him play the wars the Candiens have with Boston or NY. This kid is in the middle of everything, with no heavyweight to come to his aid.
Plec is a first rate #2 centerman, the kind the Hawks haven't been able to land in who knows how many years now.
Oh, ok. They played AHL together then............ Anything in the Montreal media about this rumor?
Two damn nice players.......... - Mr Ricochet
I haven't heard a peep about it anywhere but here. The only talk about Subban right now seems to be whether hes looking for a 2 year deal or a longer one along the lines of what Gorges signed last season

For the record...I called you a wuss for giving up after reading only 10 pages. Where's your commitment to the HB team?
