As of right now, Thomas isn't playing. How does that trade help the Hawks? - EKolb13
Right even though Thomas told the Bruins to explore trades for him if they wanted. He'll come back and theres no telling when father time is going to knock him on his ass |

It would have to be a sign and trade, too much risk otherwise. Maybe Hawks should have drafted his brother to make signing a little easier
Still think this deal has about a 10% chance of happening - Boisy12
Less than that. Like I said the deal in terms of value is fair but obtaining Kane and Hjarmasson would mean the Habs eating cap space and not addressing our issues at all.
We'd have a gaping whole down the middle and a severe lack of D on the back end.
I just don;t see it happening |

Chi is one of the teams in need of Tenders that i could see LA dealing Bernier to. Player like Saad would be a target for LA. We dont have system forwards with size really. Maybe Morin even. |

Corey Crawford ($2.667m)
Ray Emery ($1.150m)
???? Not good enough, Pri$ey. - djd
If Bowman can add talent like Subban, Plekanec and Doan, I'd be alright with Bowman riding the current tandem until a better option presents itself. |

I just dont see this deal happening but it is interesting and a definate consideration. Any word on what Subban is asking for, he is an RFA? Plek is signed at $5mil through 2015-16 - Boisy12
Throw in Travis Moen and Stan should do it. |

Without a guarantee that he'll play, it devalues Thomas' trade value.
Anyways, Thomas aside, the rest of that trade you proposed is crap.

A player who put up better numbers in the same league as the #1 draft pick this year. Not to mention SB is in love with him. Pick another prospect |

I would like to see Huet back in the nhl, he preformed well in Montreal and Washington I can understand the hawks had to jettison him out of the fold for salary cap reasons, but I dont see how one bad season means he's not nhl worthy . - Alexzanki
He's a good guy, too. Hope he lands. |

what are you saying man? Thomas, if he does play, is a HUGE upgrade from CC. as well you are getting a premiere centre in Krejci to play behing Toews which is worlds better than Kane playing behind Toews. And I think Johnny B is better than Hjalmarsson, hence the reason I threw in a 2nd rounder from Chicago in a deep draft. |

PK is a pretty overvalued player to. Plus he is a bit of a enigma. And the value of a defensive Dman is over looked big time. If the Habs move PK it must mean they are ready to ride Markov. Pacioretty Galy Kance would be a pretty good line. - poisondhearts37
Markov's knee is shredded and he's getting old. at this point, he is the second most important dman on the team behind Subban. i don't like this deal for Montreal. they just had a forward-heavy draft and this will open up a major hole on defence, even with guys like Beaulieu and Tinordi getting closer to the NHL. |

I have a hard time seeing L.A. deal Bernier in the West, especially to a playoff team. |

Kane is far better than Krejci, talent wise. I'd think Boychuck and Hjalmarsson are about equal value, so that's a wash. At this point, Crawford has value because he will play.
And you want the Hawks to kick a pick into the deal? Get real!
What are you smoking, 'cause its got to be good sh!t! |
