I just find it funny.

One moment we hear that he's being controlled and then the next we hear that people think he's too timid and allow him to back off of deals..

So why don't they force him to make those "good deals" if they are indeed controlling him?

Nothing against you JJ but these are some reasons why I doubt a lot of the management conspiracy stuff and I believe that it's just more simple.. The management team just isn't any good.

Hmmmmm.... why is he there?!

I actually enjoyed it. Its a funny movie, supposed to be funny and a lot of what is seen in the hockey side of it is unrealistic and it's supposed to be. The things I find funny about it is I can relate to a lot of the characters. Without giving away narratives, the captain's speeches before games made me laugh every time because a friend of mine is the same way these days.

Are there flaws in the movie? Hell yeah. In general though, I got my kicks out of it. Its better than most hockey movies though (the Slapshot sequels in particular anger me), not that they really raise the bar of excellence though. Anyways, I saw it as a free preview and it kept me awake for an hour and a half.

I enjoyed it too. Not the greatest movie ever, but as long as you understand it's a satire of hockey (as you clearly do) since it's based on a book by a guy who played minor league hockey, there is a lot of understated humor that is great. Short, sweet flick.

Wouldn't that hurt you down the middle too much though? It's not like the Hawks have a lot to offer at the centre position (maybe Kruger in a larger deal).

Who would be your 4 C's if this happened.

yeah me too... your right he is on the slide... wish they would of signed him last year instead of bruno... He could be a good depth signing for the right price... If stan misses the boat on Doan or Morrow etc.
