Former Canadiens, Senators and Ducks GM Pierre Gauthier is at #Blackhawks prospect camp. Watched from stands next to coach Joel Quenneville.
Hmmmmm.... why is he there?! - TyCamScore

1) Any word on Scotty's input?
2) I like Q, but agree.
3) As for McD. Never liked him. All he has ever done was market a team (Cubs) that haven't one in 104 years. Yes, I know any team can have a bad century, but consider this a rebuilding one. Plus, as a Cubs fan, I really have learned to deal with disappointment from my other sports teams quite well. I'm over losses (even big ones) within a few hours. - HajdukChicago
McD is an arsehole, ask those who've worked for him. He just got lucky, in that he started around the time Green turned things around. Nothing sells a team like winning....unless you're in Florida. |

My buddy used to work for him for years with the Cubs. MCD went to his wedding reception, which happend to be on a home game day. In the reception line MCD said "you missed a great game today - you should have been there." |

Hahahaha.
Below is the link to NHL.com list of free agents (or what they consider the best of them). Slim pickings...even slimmer than I thought.

Don't know about you guys but I'm sick and tired of these pretend trades and the non activity from the Hawk management.
Getting hard to stay interested in these blogs.
Would be fun if we could discuss an actual trade or signing.
Imagine that!!!! |

In my view, for all intents and purposes, although no title...
The Director of Pro Scouting is Scotty Bowmn.
The Hawks actually don't have that position filled otherwise....

I officially don't see how trading Hjalmarsson for a forward helps this team unless you have a deal to bring in someone else that can top 4 minutes.. - pri$ey

FWIW, the source made it sound as though he is perceived within the organization as being too timid and too cautious—they were good deals and inexplicably he shies away - John Jaeckel
Sounds like Stan Bo and company are afraid of losing there jobs. As mentioned before coach Q will be the scapegoat this season if the fail to get past round 1. Given Stan one more year to try and become a legit GM. |

It is MUCH harder to find a legit 2C, which Plekanec is, than it is to find a 4D, which Hjalmarsson is. I make this trade yesterday, then sign a Colaiocovo, Hannan, or Brett Clark to replace Hammer. The thing I really don't understand is why we haven't brought in 4C yet, unless the plan is Kruger... |

Kruger, Bolland, Mayers. All are 3C/4C players besides Mayers. Just need that 2C |

Maybe he's still under contract to the Habs doing scouting. Maybe evaluating a possible prospect or two in a potential deal. - djd
Quite. Possibly.
I heard last night that both teams have had extensive discussions about eachothers prospects.
OK, now that it's confirmed the Hawks have him as a scout, it doesn't do anything to douse the Habs' speculation. He knows their system as well as anybody. |

sounds like StanBow MO is at work.
Skittish on trades and big $$ on FA to at least get their attention. But I suspect this is acase of player who just is not interested in a Chicago area code despite the money. |

Yep...and got hammered by Walsh and TSN when he claimed that shero was all upset over some magical verbal commitment Parise gave that was confirmed by actual souces NOT to be the case.
I've given up on all the TWITTER insider guys...I just go with mainstream media as it's obvious those guys, like idiot Eklund, don't know crap. |

Until Bowman stretches beyond trading only with those he has worked for/with, the Habs have to be included as a possibility.
I would rather he include Pierre Lacroix and a few others too but until then it is what it is...
