he is everyone's whipping boy, but he is also very talented, the past two season i have seen him grow so much, if he stays healthy and had consistent line mates i would expect 30 goals out of him. - LizzyJo
He definitely took a step back last year but showed what he could really do down the stretch. I think Lindy messes with the lines a bit too much. Staff looked a little slower last year than the previous year but still very capable of 30+ |

Thats fine you feel that way. I dont think Garth posted this as an actual rumor. Its his opinion that its someone he wants the Sabres to look into.
If Duchene has a poor year this year (I know he was injured last year) his value is going to drop tremendously. Your fans will not be happy. Your management probably wont hesitate to consider their options with Duchene.
I think Duchene could bring you Bobby Ryan. With your other depth at center you wouldnt trade Duchene for Ryan? - theblueandgold
We'd have to give more than duchene for Ryan and obviously I'm biased toward duchene since he's my favorite player somi don't even wanna trade him, I feel he has so much potential it's insane, I watch him play every game and it feels like he creates a scoring chance every time he touches the puck so he's just exciting to watch, you'll see when they play buffalo |

wasn't the rumor around Buffalo that he was dealing with off the ice problems for much of the first like 45 games of the year...
I heard at one time it was that he got a girl prego on a one nighter? |

Sekera is not struggling to make our lineup. Hes in the top 4. That is if he isnt traded to bring in some forward of value.
While he didnt put up a ton of points last year, he was our best defensemen by far. His value is pretty high too after the world tournament this summer. - theblueandgold
i haven't studied the stats, but this is what i saw of rej....
--good at moving the puck out of his zone, yet is easily rattled by a strong forecheck
--can't move strong forwards off the puck or out from in front of the net
--too many turnovers in the offensive zone that lead to breaks the other way
--too many times he shot the puck way wide and on many occasions a wide shot meant an odd-man rush the other way

I didn't wanna trade stastny at first but the more I think of it Id think it would be good, I think we would have to get vanek and then maybe a couple of decent players tossed in by both teams but those would be the main two, you need a center and we need a winger, they are both over payed but have potential to be a point a game player and maybe just need a trade to get themselves going and the avs have plenty of C prospects so I'd think that would be a realistic trade - MattDuchene9
vanek is too much he produces more with worse teammates ...contracts are similar yes i know
and yeah i get that stastny has had like 78 pts in one season or whatever it was...van scored 40 one year

Duchene>O'Rielly>Stastny
why would or should they trade a 21 year old center with his potential??? it dose not make sense!!!
Only way i would ever trade him is for a 1st line scoring winger, top parring D and a young Center with size. |

They're going to give it a try. It probably won't work out.
Maybe, just maybe though, we'll get lucky and see some Ville Leino-esque results. That worked out, right? |

You clearly don't know your team, you're desperate for a top center and vanek and stastny have very similar point production, I understand you being biased toward thinking your favorite players are better than they are though I do it too |
