Why would you want to trade Stepan? The names I've heard that the Rags would move are Dubi and MDZ.

If you guys go out and look for a big name winger, Stepan has to be going the other way.

yea i agree and it sucks because a great 2nd line center like stepan is hard to find. kid is only 22 too.

it seems pointless too because if we trade stepan for a big name winger than we're getting rid of stepan's production for the new winger's production which basically cancels each other out.

i think if we go and find a big name winger, then sather should dangle hagelin, staal, or MDZ but at the end of the day, i'd be pissed if we lose any of these guys.

not sure we would be all that interested to tell you the truth.. he is a good player but we have a few of that already.. we need Brad Richards not Stepan

sather has said he's untouchable i was just curious what return you guys would be willing to give for him. it seems every team trading wingers is asking for him though because dubi has literally no value and MDZ just isn't enough.

we were thin due to injuries.

our healthy top 6 would look like:
McD - Girardi
Staal - MDZ
Sauer - Eminger/Stralman/Bickell

but when sauer went down (who's extremely underrated and as good defensively as McD/Girardi imo), then the top 4 were forced to play more minutes and then eventually eminger and stralman went down with injuries.

if everyone was healthy, we'd have one of the best if not the best top 6 in the league.

we have 2 very good defensive prospects in Erixon and McIlrath which could potentially make one of our defrensemen expendable.
