I have news for you, the whole band never got along. The movid from 1978 kiss meets the phantom, that's not even Peter Criss's voice in the movie and that's not his voice in family guy either. Psyhco Circus there reunion album is not even him playing on it, and that's probably the 3rd album he's never played on but his picture is on the album. - SABRES 89
yeah, rare that famous bands get along
I think that is why those type bands should hit it hard for 6 months, then take a long break
instead they keep touring and fighting and it gets out of control

Not that I am saying that the band I am about to mention is on the same level once so ever...
but look at what has happened to Slipknot.. they break up.. Someone dies.. 2 people leave the band.. then they tour again in Europe.. then 3 of them start Stone Sour back up for a few years.. and now they are on tour again...
Assuming Miller is ok, the one piece I see this team needing is an elite goal scorer for the pp
ryan fits that mold
nash as well
semin as well
I would like to upgrade one of the d men, but at the end of the day
the pk unit is fine
there is enough scoring for 5 on 5
we have much more legit depth that can be called up now
it comes down to what player can we bring in to improve our pp
odds are the sabres are not going after ryan or semin and nash does not want to come here.
Latest rumor on nash yesterday was that the demand is 2 nhl ready players up front, 2 blue chip prospects and a first rd pick - homiedclown
good points homie. i think the pp will be fine if healthy and set roles. last year was tough bc players were injured all the time and everyone had to keep moving.
top unit i see: vanek-hodg-pommer-ehrhoff-myers. pommer really needs to be on the half wall or down low making passes and cycling the puck.
2nd unit: ott-ennis-stafford-leopold-sekera
where i want to see an upgrade is in the 3/4 dman pairing. id move leopold and bring in a stronger player to play in the #3 spot with regher. (ehrhoff and myers as the top pair).
i agree that 5 on 5 scoring will be fine and pk is fine (esp with addition of ott). if miller bounces back to form like the 2nd half of last year and the d is improved i think this team will be fine.

yea the Paul Grey died at a hotel not even 500 yards from where I work every day...
I want to say Joey Jordison and Jim Root left when Corey Taylor left.. and then all 3 of them were in Stone Sour?? I am not sure about Jordison.. I know that Root followed Taylor...

Last I heard Jordison was with Rob Zombie but didn't think he was in Stone Sour.

We could have still got Ryan but Darcy will not give up Ennis and that's the starting point. The hell with Stastny i'd rather have Getzlaf, Thornton or Marleau. - SABRES 89
Marleau would be just as bad as Stastny.
Id much rather go with what we have then give up a crap load for any of them outside of Getzlaf

agreed... I think how much we would have to give up for an aging 1C who granted would be better than what we have.. but the amount of pieces we have to give up to acquire would offset the deal...
If we could get Stastny without giving up any major names.. I wouldn't mind it... it would be a 2 year stop gap until we know that Ennis/Hodge, Grigs, and Girgs were ready to go...
