hell, why not?

Steckel had the most hits out of all our forwards last year by a county mile; he was 2nd in blocked shots. He does not suck; he's a perfect 4th line center.

He's fine on the 4th line, but I'm not gonna shed any tears about him sitting for another 4th liner.

I wouldn't even mind him centering on the power play all year long if he proved he can win some draws; that size would look good in front of the net screening shots.

But I'm starting to think that Bozak's getting moved instead of Connolly at this point; cheaper contract, younger, better return than Connolly and that means either JVR or Connolly is centering the top line this year (oh wait, or Kadri. )

Wipe away those tears my friend because he absolutely will not be sitting.

I wouldn't even mind him centering on the power play all year long if he proved he can win some draws; that size would look good in front of the net screening shots.

Can't really trust them to be a cycling/puck possession line either... Not as bad as Versteeg-Bozak-Kessel, bt they look like more of a score off the rush kinda line.

They said 4-6 months. From his surgery date...he definitely won't be ready for training camp, but could be ready for early-to-mid-October if his rehab goes well.

Was he playing a true centermen role?? Straight up and down the middle, or was he sort of floating from the middle to the sides??

Reason I ask is, Kessel doesn't really play a straight up and down right side..... he floats to where the openings are. Don't think Kessel would work with another type of floating around player. Could lead to some very poor defensive coverage

Mac and Bozak are on the block if they feel they have something with JVR as a center and if Kadri has a good camp; Connolly as the backup plan/floater; Lombardi sent to the minors (hopefully picked up on waivers) when Frattin returns.
