NJ had a great season and surpassed all expectations by reaching the Stanley Cup Finals. The Kings were the better team but the Devils played pretty well and took it to 6.The Devils did better than the 28 other teams.

So why would you trash talk the Devils? Why do you torment them about losing their captain? What do you gain from that? You won the Cup and had a nice parade. This is your cue to be gracious and say inane platitudes like "hey-great series" or "you'll be up there again next year, even without Parise".
