Olt would be the prize if Hamels won't resign. It wold be a long shot, but if I were the Phils I'd go higher on the conrtact after the season if I had a cheap stud 3b like Olt. - jstross
The Rangers are grooming Olt for first base. Don't think he's going anywhere. At least not for a rental. |

Funny. I never saw anything wrong with it.
But I guess that was just me. - 77rams
Neither did I. Whatever way you want to post is fine with me. I was thinking maybe the rest of us had it wrong. I don't buy into that "when in Rome do as the Romans do" nonsense!

Seriously, why would you want to be a Roman? Their empire was broke like a hundred years ago. |

I'm very happy for you, it seems like this episode of personal revelation has really brought you inner peace. - BulliesPhan87
Very true. There is no reason for me to be a hater, on anyone here and certainly anyone in the media.
I recently learned an imporant lesson over the weekend - do to others as you would have them do. I did not receive this enlightenment in a biblical context, but in a life lesson.
I feel reformed and want to keep it that way.
Cheers!
Gent from Jersey. |

Phillies will have offers from multiple teams, accept the best offer before the deadline. |

Oh pshaw, apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us? |

Yet they found enough money to sign an already quickly declining Rollins 11 mil until he's 36 (37 with an option). |

But take the offer with more major league ready players than high cieling young players. phils need a 3b, CF and more. |

I absolutely hated that signing. I wanted them to move on from Rollins. He is a declining player and the Phillies were better off without him. So scared to move on b/c they didnt have a replacement. |

Now they are stuck with another large contract for an aging player whos skills aren't going to get better. Makes no sense at all. They need to get some youth on this club.
Also, they need to decide what they want to do with Dom Brown. Bring the kid up for the entire year or trade him. That simple. You dont know what you have if you give him half a season or games here and there. |
