That honestly would be an interesting line, but it could work. Pommer takes faceoffs as well sometimes and plays well defensively. Essentially you don't have anyone who's a legit center on the line, but yet somehow, it almost seems like it would work.

Well, apparently Leino said he'd like to play with Gerbe and Kaleta in his end of the year interview. I'm guessing he'll like Ott just as much. Maybe playing with those type of guys will make him play harder.

I think Ott would take all of the big faceoffs and most defensive zone draws.. Maybe give leino a few hundred for the year just to get better..

Vanek - Hodge - ??
Ott - Leino - Pommer
Foligno - Ennis - Stafford

I wouldn't mind a few names there... but all of them will take other people out of the top 9 in order to put a new name there except Doan.

I really think the management is expecting Grigs to fight his way on the roster... Maybe even both Grigs and Girgs... The is a very intriguing aspect for this year...

Bringing in a veteran to work with All these young guys would be very smart.. IMO

I'd almost be as bold as to say that if they sign Grigorenko could fit in there. Especially depending on how Ruff rolls the lines. I would be a bit concerned about the defensive side of the line though. Hodgson would be fine, but Vanek isn't the best defensively (though he's not completely horrible either) and Grigorenko needs to work on his defensive skills.

I just hope that both Grigs and Big Z must their a$$es in training camp to make this team.

I would much rather have the problem of "too much talent and not enough space" than to have "too many roster spots.. not enough talent"

Unless we get Doan, they aren't moving Pomminville off the 1st line and onto the 3rd. If the Doan thing happens they might need to retool things (maybe break up 89-63-21) but otherwise it's staying the same and you know it.
