If Myers becomes like Chara, even if it happens sooner than it did for Chara, it is still a few years away. Also, I didn't say I'd throw a center into the deal, because you're definitely right on that part. I'm not going to lie and say I know exactly what Nashville would be looking for, but I wouldn't mind if Myers was the centerpiece on our end of things, if Weber was the return.

I see them as completely different players. Myers will never have that physicality or be as imposing as Z. Z will never be the skater or have the creative offensive skillset that Myers has.

I kind of see Myers as a taller/slighter Rob Blake as opposed to a Z.

Not much more? Your best defensive prospect and a pick in a fantastic draft class isn't "much more"?

That's a whole lot to pay for someone who's hit 70 points once while playing on one of the most talented lines in the NHL.


I love bobby Ryan, but he's way over valued. Without a legitimate first line center I wouldn't want him.

What makes you think Cullen who is 36.. makes 3.5M. and who has not topped 50 pts in his entire career is more valuable than our top minute eating defender??

Ryan is a 30/30 player with Getzlaf and Perry... that is his ceiling... That is the best he will be... he will not play on a better line in Buffalo.

He is not worth what you think he is.

I have been saying this for years....

Myers is NOT ever going to be Chara or Pronger..

He is also not completely offensive like Green or Karlsson.

Now is the time to pull the trigger on a deal like this....how much longer will we have Miller, Vanek, Pominville??? Darcy should be in win now mode.
