Well that's how it is now.... it's about getting the most out of players for the money you are paying them.

But the most important thing is the result on the ice... if you have alot of guys that don't "live up to their contract" but the team is winning, who gives a poop?

I guess it could happen with the very few elite players.

But to make an offer big enough so the other team doesn't match... you have to overpay (therefore giving away more picks) or take advantage of their cap situation.

Is a guy like Evander Kane worth 2 1st a 2nd and a 3rd?

I don't think so, but it depends on where the team giving away the picks stand.

If having Evander Kane puts them over the top for a Stanley Cup final appearance, then go for it.

If the team gives 2 first round then finishes in the basement of the league *cough* Kessel *cough* then it's not worth it.

we just lost one of our biggest accounts this week over quality issues that occurred months before i ever got here. the tranlators didn't particularly like working on this client's jobs. so when they noticed that this client stopped sending in orders, they got excited. "oh, did they leave us?? " these aren't the brightest, most rational people i've ever met.

Well that's how it is now.... it's about getting the most out of players for the money you are paying them.
