Not a knock at all. Everyone needs an influence. Another great session musician I have seen is Ann Dorcy... she's bass and backround vocals for Bowie. On his "A Reality Tour" DVD, one could say she could have upstaged Freddy on Under Pressure.

Jimmy Page was a pretty good session player before Zep came to be.

One I'm disapointed with is Orianthi. She's playing great for Alice Cooper. But she released a crappy pop album.

Sadly, that is the way it is in the industry... has been forever. Now that we have the internet so readily available, YouTube at our fingertips, and all these other goodies that represent the fact we are in 2012... can you believe the talent we have witnessed in recent years? Imagine how the music industry would look like if the talents out there that should be in, were, regardless of the hooky-ness? Amazing, I'd think.
