THE FANS, STORMEY.
THE FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Pecafan Fan
Keep going as is. The only concession the Owners should ask for is lowering the cap floor.
Everyone is making money. The league is making boatloads of revenue which is in turn making the players boatloads of money.
I don't understand what's broken.
To Disneyland - you can now throw away that "Banned for Life" file you have on me, I'm not a problem anymore - and SeaWorld San Diego, too, if you read this.

But the problem is, 18 teams lose money every year.

If healthy, his contract isn't bad.
If. - Pecafan Fan
Even healthy, we still don't know if he can come back to the player he used to be. Lets pray he was only rusty last year in the few games he played and it was not signs of him slowing down.

Not sure they are going to change the way they negotiate with Subban based on an absurd "proposal" by the owners. - Pecafan Fan
Pk may be waiting to sign a contract after the new CBA is signed. This way he will be able to sign a contract for the money that he will actually get instead of signing a contract with an inevitable pay cut.

Something obviously doesn't work. - Pecafan Fan
They need to base the cap and floor on the average revenue of the teams, as the handful of teams that are making the poop load of money are artifically inflating the cap and causing the other teams to lose money.

Thus lowering the floor.
also if 18 teams were "actually" losing money I'd think there would be a lot more relocating and/or folding of franchises. - stormeyAlterEgo
I always thought losing money means you are not making as much as you hoped. No business stand around to "lose money". That's like you going to work and paying your boss to work there. Makes no sense.
