Regardless, the obvious solution is making it bilingual. Have a mix of English and French shows covering the habs, it's pretty much a habs station either way.

actually I don't think anyone think it's the french's fault but many are questioning why the need for a francophone station needs to be achieved via the elimination of an anglophone one.

also the reason for the closing has been directly specified by all the parties involved as being due to a CRTC rule.




the whole rule seems kind of silly to me. It's not like one owner is cornering the market on a specific type of content.

if Bell think they are better off closing the english station and opening a french one, they must have done their due diligence on the situation, and they probably feel a french station would be more profitable here in the Montreal area.

I'm not even back a week and I miss it like crazy. Made fresh pasta last night with zucchini + the flowers with some olive oil we brought back.
