Perhaps the Sabres should make an inquiry as to the status of O'Reilly. I'd be asking the obvious question of the Avs front office: how do they value O'Reilly. I'd also be asking the Avs if he's available for a trade to Buffalo.


The Avs have their two top centres, Stastny and Duchene locked up right now. O'Reilly sits and waits for his next contract. Eventually, O'Reilly will be re-signed. Or, will he? Perhaps the Avs are content to move forward with Stastny and Duchene as their one-two punch down the middle, and, perhaps they are more interested in trading o'Reilly for a high scoring winger, like say Jason Pominville or Bobby Ryan.

Who is Jason Pominville? ROTFLMATFO.. Yeah because Colorado often buys high on a 29 year old who put up 30 goals for the second time in his career with four years in between, and on top of that using a 21 year old center to do it with.

In all honesty.. You guys have such a great crop of young players coming in the next one or two years. I would just go with what ya got and get one more good draft pick, then in the 2013-14 season they will all be hitting the scene and they will need to award more than one Calder trophy to the same team in the same year.
