But there are kids that care in those schools. That's the part you don't seem to understand. They go to those schools because they want to and/or they can't afford to go somewhere else.

They tell me it's my job to parent, discipline, be the confidant, big bro/sis, conflict resolution, friend, oh and in there...teach. There are a lot of teachers that may just collect paychecks...I was taught by a few of those teachers but at least I'm my school we are all constantly try to help kids

because the city of buffalo school system sucks top to bottom kids dont care in the vast majority if the school has 3k kids maybe 100 care

And you know this? I'd venture a guess as to say you've probably never gone into these schools and asked the kids how much they care. Also, it's hard to care when it seems like no one is willing to give you a chance.

Not everyone can afford private school. Hell I'm basically from a typical middle class white family and I couldn't afford it.


Just FYI, over crowding in schools is a problem because... Wait for it....

Underfunding. Across the nation public education is getting screwed. Things don't get better by abandoning them.

Also you're probably not getting a better education at private schools. Like I said, I'm surrounded by some of the best private schools in the country and their education is indestinguishable from mine. Mommy and daddy spend a lot of money at private school x, not so Johnny gets a good education, but so he can get into a good college.

That's without mentioning that everyone I knew that went to a private school (around here) was spoiled rotten jerk. And a lot of cocaine.

in florida the lottery was suppose to add money to the schools, that was why they voted for it

instead all it does is take the place of what the state and tax dollars were collected to do

it's all a scam and down here the teachers and kids suffer

my wife makes 40K and has been teaching in an A school for over `7 years

to make matters worse, no she teaches so the kids pass the test instead of teaching in a creative manor, due to state imposed tests that determines if the kid passes or gets held back

it's a cluster(frank) on many levels
