I always forget Sulzer too. You think we would split up the Foligno, Ennis and Stafford on the PP? I'm not sure if Foligno would be on there or not, I know with the chemistry they showed at the end of last year it would be pretty tough. - shanekern03
I think that Foligno is best with that line in open ice 5 on 5.. but I think for PP purposes Grigorenko would add a very good element of scoring threat..
Foligno did average 1:16 in PP time last year.
I would like to see Foligno become a good PKer as well.. he has the big body for it.. and a decent 2 way game at this point.. but he averaged 2 seconds on the PK last year. lol |

its not "3rd line" anymore.. its just ou r3rd scoring line.. we have heard all along that we are moving to 3 scoring lines and not a checking and defense group.
I don't mind Grigorenko taking 1C but I think it would be mid year before it happens.. Tropp was decent but I think if we put him with vanek and Hodge it would hurt their production because he is not an offensive threat but on the other hand Vanek is equivilent to a folding chair on defense and Hodge is still unproven but shown good traits on defense. - JVince11
I dont like Grigo playing up this year your taking time away form both him and cody plus Z so then nobody developes |

Okay I understand that point.. i really do...
But wha tdo you think Grigorekno is going to learn, grow, and develop going back to the Q for a whole year where he was a man amongst boys there?

It's not even close to that. They may blame it on that, it's mostly because they are just lazy and want to take the easy way out.
They havent realized not everyone is an actor, athlete or a rockstar yet. They are still holding on to that dream. - ImThatGuy
I have family members still holding on to that dream. There comes a point where the dream becomes merely a detachment from reality. It's okay to "pursue something that makes you happy in life". That doesn't mean that shirking your responsibilities in the meantime is okay. A lot of people seem to think and act that way. |

I just think we need a top 4 winger and a 3rd line vet center |

Id like them to change their PP tactics, and use a lot of movement. Similar to what NJ did to NYR on that PP in the playoffs. Where each player touched the puck in under 5 seconds and they got a goal. No one was standing completely in front of the net.
No need to bury one guy in front of the net permanently. Use him along the perimeter and he moves to the net when you are putting a shot on net. |

theres little things you can pick up..maybe be better on the draw maybe bulk up a bit maybe become better in the defensive zone maybe imrpove shootout moves but getting 10-12 mins in buffalo wont help that much. |

I think we need a top 4 winger as well to add to the mix so that there is not as much pressure and hope on Grigo and Big Z to make the team this year..
I don't like Grigo going back to the Q.. I would be somewhat okay with it because I know that Patrick Roy is not goign to let him get lazy or big headed one single bit.
Big Z can atleast play in the A and get that chemistry going with those players there.
I think its either a top 4 winger with some vet to him... or nothing.. Doan really fits the bill perfectly.. anything else just cramps the roster even more. |

heres how i would roll the forwards:
Leino- Grigs - poms
Vanek- hodgson- tropp
Foligno- Ennis- staff
Ott- Mcm - Kaleta
So basically i just replace Roy with Grigorenko. Grigs is a playmaking center ... i really wouldnt want to see him on the "3rd line" with Ott / Gerbe or what ever "grinder" you put with Ott. - buffalofan1027
I completely agree with grigs being on first line... This would be my lines. If Hodgson wants to be a two-way center, play against the oppenents top line.
vanek-grigs-pom
Foligno-ennis-staff
ott-hodgson-leino
tropp/gerbe/porter/mcm/keleta-
i would play tropp every night on 4th line

i don't know what any of that means. i'm not a Leaf fan. i just think that's a crazy assumption, that people don't pursue an education because there aren't enough jobs to go around. - DoubleDown

yeah i agree ....grigs going back down to the Q to put up another 80 - 90 points wont help him develop. Hes NHL ready for sure. |

It is real, but I'm not sure an increase in jobs is what fixes it. The reality check has to be even bigger than that. |

Bought a house for $144,000... I pay $1,200 a year in taxes. No state income tax also. And Nashville is close to Buffalo in cost of living. Plus its warm here for 9 months. |
