just a side note that I find funny....

I played against a guy online once that put Chara as his 1C. I won every face off but Chara laid me the f#ck out because it wasn't a defensive liability to take the Center for a big hit like it is for a D-man to do it. and took some good slappers too.

I actually went to Quebec as a HS field trip because I took many years of French. I respect it. the team is a different story though.

well I hear it from a different side.. I got an Avs fan in the family so he loves montreal for their dumb trade of Roy to Colorado.

i don't get it but you have some good goaltending prospects that just haven't been able to be consistent in the NHL.. i don't know if it is the pressure or the team in front of them. I think you might (or maybe not) be surprised what kind of numbers the monster gets in Detriot this year

i think on a team like St Louis or Detriot he could be a slightly above average starter.. kind of like how Elliot went from suck to star when he changed teams. it is alot about the system you play behind for certain goalies

NHL.com has Hodgson listed as candidate for a breakout season. I hope they're right.

the monster will be fine in detriot i can see decent but not great numbers for him this year
as long as he stops letting wide shots get by him

i think a lot might be the stress from the crazy fanbase and media but its more the team in front of them. our d has been very inconsistant

Makes me really think if the Sabres werent the mystery team with Doan and the big money deal, that they certainly likely have a higher bid out there then most of the other 6-7 competitors

if he goes elsewhere some team is gonna get burned throwing a big deal at him on an over 35 contract IMO
