I actually wrote up a small part about him, and decided to leave it out as I didnt see him as being a large competitor for the Flames in the next few years. Likely the guy who steps in for the Heat and works his way up.

Could be wrong, but this piece was geared towards guys I could see making an impact for the Flames sooner than later.

Trading Kipper now would be like the Esks trading Ray, that trade worked out.

He should want to help out the team by being willing to be delt. He will still bring in a good return and if he's lucky he could go to a contender and win a cup before he retires.

As far as this season is concerned i'm not sure if Irving is the man, but it seems he is the only option!!

Karlson has been less than impressive in his NHL career. I'm not sure if it has more to do with him or how the team plays in front of him, but either was his record is atrocious and it's pretty much unacceptable.

Next season will be really interesting, especially if Kipper is still around. With the potential emergence of Irving, return of Ramo to N.A., and also with Broissoit turning pro there is definitely going to be a log jam in the crease.

I'm mostly excited about Broissoit, many people have been raving about him and he was outstanding for the Oil Kings last season. I really hope he gets the starting job for the World Junior team, i'd love to see what he can do at that high of a level. It'd would be nice to have some Flames content on Team Canada...it's been a while!!! I really have high hopes for him, I think his athleticism can set him apart from rest of most "average" NHL starters. Hopefully he can turn out into a Fleury-type goalie for the Flames.

On a disappointing note, it's sad to see Ortio disappear off the radar. It's seems like he has really struggled in North America. Hopefully he can land on his feet and regain his confidence, I was hoping he would be the next Kipper

Personally, I hope to see Ramo...I think hes the best option if Feaster can get his butt back over here!

I`m sorry, but if Kipper is traded and those are the only options for the net, we can guarantee a lottery pick in next years draft. I know you touched on Hasek in one of your other blogs, could be a viable option if he`s cheap...

Dude is 47 years old, and he wants to come back and play in the NHL no matter what.

do you think he's going to be expensive?

I agree!!! But I have heard he is more likely to return for the 2013-2014 season.

I considered reintroducing the idea, actually...but this would only be a viable option if Kipper were moved immediately, as opposed to down the road. I feel the wiser move for the Flames is to play their best prospects alongside Kipper and see how things go.

If there is promise, it will allow them to deal Kipper and possibly bring in a vet like Hasek as a backup, but I feel a team may give Hasek a shot sooner than the Flames may be ready.

It would continue down the path of what Feaster is doing. The opposite of a rebuild.

He's going to start the rebuild as soon as Jankowski wins the calder trophy.

In 2022.

Sorry for picking on your team. You guys are such easy targets now.
