If the contract doesn't include a NTC or NMC, he could demand a trade out of Nashville after they match. I wonder if the Flyers left out a NTC or NMC for that reason and have a deal in place to offer if the Predators match.

When you think about that, it would be funny as hell if they could.

"Hey we can't match your offer but we're going to go ahead and trade his rights to the Penguins for a 7th rounder just to (frank) you guys over. Have a nice day"

Its going to be fascinating to see financial terms of Weber's offer sheet. Hearing in one calendar year, he could make $26 mil.

That is what might be a hangup for Nashville, but I bet they match. After losing Suter, they have to match. Kind of like how when the Sabres lost Drury and Briere and Vanek signed his offer sheet with the Oilers.

The Sabres should not have matched the offer from Edmonton. They were destined to finish low for a few more years and the Sabres would have had 4 high draft picks. The Predators will be stuck with picks in the mid to late 20's in the 1st round for 4 years. They have to match.
