even if they match & trade, they can only trade with Philly in the first year? (is that right?) So thay can't match & move him someplace else, (don't know where I heard that, TSN?) - puckhead17
If Nashville matches, Weber can not be traded for one calendar year. To anybody. If they match, he's a Predator. |

Why don;t they have a chance at Doan? He's not closed to coming East, as he's visiting the Rangers tonight. He's never said anything about not being interested in Philly. - Jsaquella
Then I'm misinformed b/c I thought I read that he wasnt interested in coming to the East. The only team from the East that I heard about was Pittsburgh that he would be willing to come to. Every other team is linked to the West. |

If your Poile what would you expect?
Cots & Schenn are not for sale, neither is G, Voracek is a RFA,
Coburn & another D man maybe (MAB or Gus?) or Mez? - puckhead17
If I'm Polie I'd want Voracek, Coburn, Gustafson and a first in 2013 and 2014, but I wouldn't get it. |

They can't trade Weber to anyone if the match they offer for a year. Including the Flyers. - MJL
I believe we can agree that if the Preds match, Weber will be in a Nashville for a very, very long time. |

The crazy thing is there are a bunch of scenario's that can happen. Crazy times. - stveshdy
That's why my hopes are not too high. I'm as excited as anyone, but I refuse to get too pumped about it until it's finalized. |

Honestly, with all the "Insiderrs" out there, it gets confusing. |

Usually I would be all crazy but Weber is one player. Hes a franchise type player but I rather the Flyers just go with the offer sheet and see what happens. If Nashville matches then so be it. Not sure I want to trade players and picks for him at this point. |

It's kinda like listening to Bertuzzi's slow, deliberate announcement about who finally got Lindros.
Get to the decision already !!!!!!

I usually try to go with the guys from TSN b/c what they report is legit more than any other outlet. |

We just don't have the forwards to part with any unless Homly thinks Voracek wants too much. |

If I'm Poile, I ask for Coburn, he's signed for 4 years & at least a physical player that Weber is in the D zone, asking for Couts or Schenn will not help him now so much - puckhead17
And if I'm Homer, I'd say (frank) off, we aren't giving our best d man and 3 picks for your best d man.
We aren't giving that much up unless we get more firsts back. |

Thats my stance also. I know the Flyers want Weber but at some point theres a price that your not willing to match. |

We'll just say that he will be around longer than the franchise itself if he stays around |

I think the Flyers like Voracek a lot but I'm not sure they want to pay him $4M per year right now until they see more from him. I like Voracek also but the Flyers usually are fair with their deals. |

Not sure if anyone has said this but when Scott Stevens signed an offer sheet to go to the St. Louis Blues from Washington, Washington's GM was David Poile.... |

I would say Voracek has shown more in his career with points, ability to PK, then JVR has to warrant an extension in the $4 million range. This is coming from a huge JVR believer. |

Yep. I mentioned that earlier on. Of course the Blues lost Stevens a year later for another offer sheet |

Nashville can use full 7 days to decide whether to match Weber's offer sheet, but, I suspect decision has been made.

It may well be. There's valid reasons to drag it out no matter what the decision is.
IIRC the Canucks only took 3 days to match the sheet to Kesler. |
