Indeed, I think it is one or the other unfortunately. Quite possibly you could see the Pens, Rangers, Flyers, and Wings bidding against each other for Doan. Good lord, talk about a severe overpayment coming.

Many won't agree with me here but I think the Flyers should let it all ride on the offer sheet to Weber. No trades. Either Nashville matches or they dont. Many feel the Flyers want Weber too badly to let it slip away, I don't feel that way though.

I think Doan will get close to $6 million/yr for at least three years. Somewhere Fehr is just smiliing.

Not necessarily. Match quickly, and the fans think that was easy and more is to come. Match next week, and make a speech about how incredibly wrenching it was and how at the end they could not let the fans down. Then, the fans cheer, and ownership has enough goodwill to scrap along and reach the floor this year and no one blames them for not doing anything more.
