When it comes to employee monitoring software, the question arises: should employees' personal data, such as work breaks or vacations, be taken into account? On the one hand, such data can be useful to calculate working hours and productivity more accurately, but on the other hand, it can lead to an invasion of employee privacy. Is this intrusion too much?

On the one hand, working employees should be able to rest, take breaks and vacations, and this data can be useful for correct calculation of working hours and performance evaluation. For example, if the system records breaks and vacation days, it allows you to understand more precisely how much time an employee actually spends on tasks. I use the https://www.monitask.com/en/ service to monitor my work, and it has the ability to take into account data such as hours worked, breaks, and even vacations. This gives a complete picture of work, allowing the administrator to see exactly how much time an employee spends on tasks and how much time they spend on vacation. However, it is important that this information is not used for excessive control, otherwise it can have a negative impact on the atmosphere in the team. It is important to strike a balance between monitoring and respecting employees' personal time.

Keeping track of data such as breaks and vacations can be useful for general monitoring and scheduling of working time. But it is important to respect privacy and avoid excessive monitoring, especially when it comes to breaks.
