The NHL/Players may cram in a 50 game season but this Flyer fan won't be participating. I seriously thought I'd miss the games but I haven't so far.
I am out of town but come back in for games and that won't be happening this season. I have also cancelled Center Ice.
Hopefully more fans do the same and we can tell them where to cram their petty negotiations. The fans have been screwed more than the owners or players the last 20 years and they seem to forget we pay the bills.
This lockout has really ripped apart the fanbase more than the others. The game was getting better and all the momentum built has been ruined and we as fans have had it. |

We fans are not ATM's, as one wise Flyers fan 'round here said recently (on Twitter). |

I'm the pervert. Skip is a good, Christian man, who has endeared himself to me by not trying to save me. |

Tim, can you spend an article actually looking at what both sides are proposing and ask a couple simple questions:
-- Will this really fix the problems that existed in the prior CBA, and
-- Can (how will) the solutions offered up so far be abused to create new problems?
I can point out at least half a dozen problems with what both sides are moving for, and at least half a dozen problems that are either going to continue to occur or will be brand new going forward. It would be really nice if someone in the media would take a critical look at things and say, "is this really going to work?" instead of ignoring it and coming back in 3-4 years and saying, "how in the world did they not fix _______?" |

No question about it Tim. If you ignore the side show theatrics. The two sides are closer to a deal then they ever been. |

I know it won't happen. I think it speaks volumes about the lack of attention being paid to actually scrutinizing each side's proposals and the desire to get a deal done "no matter what" and for people who say they are journalists and aren't afraid to ask tough questions, it's ... well, not surprising at all. |

players don't want a long CBA cuz it could mean two generations of (average) players have no say in what CBA they play under
so basically they're negotiating on behalf of some 14 yr old kid right now. lame, lame, lame
one more thing....if an average player making league minimum isn't happy playing in the NHL under whatever CBA may be in place at that given time, then he can go eff himself and play in the AHL or ECHL or KHL. seriously. playing in the nhl is a privilege and opportunity. not a right. |

The NHLPA is using that as a bargaining chip. Let's see what they're willing to agree to there in the end.

I'd say both sides are agreeing to league suicide. At least they've found common ground. |
