I'm so sick and tired of this lockout bullpoop. I hope the apocalypse come for Donald Fehr tomorrow. |

I've always found the notion that individual games are being cancelled to be hilarious.
Isn't it obvious that they are going to have to rip up the schedule and create a new one? - Atomic Wedgie
Exactly. The whole schedule discussion is ridiculously pointless. If we go down to 50 games, 48 games...42 games...teams will play only inside their own conference. The old schedule can't really be used in any meaningful way to make the new one. |

Did I hear that right this morning, while driving into work: Sam Gagner has 18pts in 7 games in Austria?
Nope. He has 18 points in 18 games |

Just read an article where Cogliano and Gagner were complaining how they have to travel 18 hours for games and they finally realized how good they had it in the NHL. Serves them right |

I will reiterate from yesterday...simply imagine players being questioned by family over holiday dinner. "So what is it that is holding this up?" Imagine their shock as the players stammer for an answer.....Freaking Retards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The reason is to free up the rink for concerts etc to be booked. |

won't be less than 48 and I think they will cancel season earlier this time or by Mid Jan at latest. |

I spoke to Ladislav Smid today. He is back in Edmonton getting his knee checked out. The doctor told him it is only a sprain and he should be back playing in a few weeks. He won't rush it, and will stay in Edmonton until after Christmas. If there is no progress in the lockout he will return to the the Czech republic to play.

THN had the article on Omark. Would you still give him up for a bent penny? or do you think you could get a mid round pick from detroit for him? |

You take whatever you can get for him, but I'll be shocked if it's much more than a 4th. |

Richard Cloutier: Terrible Lie: The NHL Schedule Story - Maxbone
I really liked this article
RE:Nuge not a game-breaker
I agree-ish. I hope to see Nuge become the type of player that controls a game, because game-breakers are flashy and dramatic but, control the play, the goals will come.
RE:Canada might not win Gold
Bad news, everyone - victory is not Canada's God-given right! First off, there are people in other countries who love hockey, and if you must take nationalist consolation, second off, there are very skilled Canadian coaches and legacy atheletes who put a lot of work into growing the sport in the US and in Europe, so if Canadians are as awesome as we'd like to believe, we've actually been deliberately exporting that exact same awesome to the rest of the world for like two generations, so get with the program!

You're welcome for us postponing our unbeatable dominance for a year so that your tacky little team could join the big boys club! Mind they stop blowing their noses on the tablecloths, please. And be a dear and ask their ruffian fans to stop tracking dirt on the carpet and wet-willying the guards at Buckingham Palace.
(For maximum effect, you have imagine me saying all that with an upper-class British accent while looking down my nose at you) |

somehow, knowing detroit, if they gave up a 4th, I bet Omark develops into a solid 2nd liner. |
