Not that it should come to any surprise, but Briere renewed his contract with Eisbaren Berlin.. which would keep him there for the rest of their season should the NHL cancel the season here.

Yes, my gut feeling is still an abbreviated season. Getting concerned, though, that it may not even be in January. I think they may end up settling for something less than 48-52 games.

I just want to see some NHL hockey. I watched the Canada-Germany game last night (replay)... it is hockey and it does help, but its not the same. I miss laying in my basement just kicking back watching the game!

where are all the Bryz naysayers now? The guy just needed some games. Thanks Bill for working through the holidays to keep the rest of us working shlubs informed! As always greatly appreciated!

The NHL and NHLPA can't keep doing this every time a CBA is needed. This time they might not have as easy of a time getting us back in the seats or buying merchandise.
