Hamonic and Nabokov will be playing. I'd be stunned and disappointed if Dipietro plays any games that aren't on a back to back situation. Boulton will play for McDonald. |

DP is only playing in Dee's mind. She thinks he has some sort of history with Broudeur. Please disregard all references to DP against the devils.

Nice to see the isles ahead of ny Pitts and Philly in the Atlantic. Gonna be a good game tonight with both teams coming off hard games vs Boston and the pens. I'm predicting a tight game that'll end with a fluke goal either in OT or in the dying minutes of the 3rd. |

Edmonton have no idea how lucky they are to have the kids they do.
Sure they sucked for a few years... but the upside now is they will be a great, exciting team for years to come!!!
Too bad the Isles were not able get their hands on a couple of those players!!! |

What is she drinking? What's the fascination with DP ? Is it attraction purely on looks. Hopefully when they move to bklyn. They will get a new blogger for this site. Why is she mentioning Martinek too. Harmonic looked fine at end of Pitt. game. If are best defenseman can play he plays. |

I predict Frans Nielsen plays a gritty game in a tight-checking contest. Because every time I make an observation it's entirely contradicted the next time the team takes the ice. |

Just hope the Isles score first. When the Devils do, the Isles usually spend the rest of the game in a confused fog, unable to figure out how to attack the Devils' D. Not really a knock on them...happens to a lot of teams that play the Devils. They're just that good at taking away lanes. It's why I wasn't ready to drive a nail in their coffin when everyone was picking them to finish near the bottom because of Parise. Team's always better than the sum of its parts. |

It's a mistake to think the Devs would fall apart without Parise. Scoring first is huge. Isles need to keep the puck away from Marty and play a patient game. |

it's because Cappy keeps telling them to dump and chase on Jersey, and most of the dump ins end up on Marty's stick. Scoring first will be huge, but chipping it out of their own end to chip it into the Devils end doesn't really result in any offense. They'll need to move the puck well and carry it through the neutral zone and to play as tight to the Devils forwards as they did against Pittsburgh.
If they give up too much time and space or get back to just hammering it out along the boards they're going to have a long boring game with few shots.

9 goals against in 5 games... is huge for NJ.
Best in the league!!!
So scoring early will be important to get Jersey to open up and take some chances.
The good thing is they have only scored 12 times in 5 games!!!
Very winnable game... Matt Martin will be the hero tonight!!! |

Big game tonight. Would love to pull out a win at The Rock. This team goes 3-1-1 on this road trip and hits 4-2-1, that will be impressive. Tough match tonight. NJD look real good, almost as if losing Parise was insignificant. |

Hamonic was a beast in Pittsburgh. Logged a ton of time against the Pens' top players. If he was good to go in that game, he'll dress tonight. I want no part of Martinek dressing. The "D" from Tuesday night should dress again tonight. No RDP. No RDP unless Nabby disappears off the face of the Earth. Play and ride Nabby until he falls apart. He was terrific in Pitt. |

The best way to beat the devils and their heavy defensive gameplay is to wear them down physically. We need Carkner, Marts, cizikas and Ulstrom to wear them down all game to tire them out
And we need to score first. devils play a respectable and watchable game once they're losing... |

The Devils and Red Wings are the best run franchises in hockey. Both are the gold standard. |

If he is feeling any type of pain sit him out. Rather he rest up for the season. Devils offense is not a threat so defensively we can live with a Martinek for this game. |
