If we still had PA Parenteau, the Rangers wouldn't even bother showing up. Quick, someone post his point totals for this year...the thread's two posts old and we haven't seen it yet! |

Defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky could make his debut for the New York Islanders as early as this weekend.
Outlining the D-man's hectic schedule following arrival in New York, Newsday's Arthur Staple suggests Visnovsky's physical is scheduled for Thursday Morning. If all goes well, the veteran is expected to take part in team practice Friday, and make his season debut on Saturday versus the Buffalo Sabres.

That's when Bailey is expected to make his debut to. Adding a top six forward (he is for us), and top pairing dman (he is for us) should be a nice boost to the entire team. |

I certainly hope so, would be nice to see this team halt the 2 game slide and get a winning streak together. They need to get a fairly solid foothold in the top 8 and avoid any losing streaks, especially with all these divisional games. At least they haven't been blown out in any game yet, which shows a much better level of consistency but they need to find a way to put a longer streak together. The road trip was tremendously helpful but they've got to get some wins at home.

But do you throw Bailey on the 1st line and drop Okposo to the 3rd? Id actual wouldnt mind rewarding Ullstrom and give him a game or 2 on JT's wing.

I think based on last game I wouldn't mind seeing Boyes play a little longer with JT and MM:
Moulson Tavares Boyes
Grabner Nielson Okposo
Bailey Aucoin Ullstrom
Martin Cizikas McDonald
would ideally be what I'd like to see (although I wouldn't mind swapping Aucoin with Casey as I do believe Cizikas would produce in a third line center role)

I agree I like what I saw and what I am seeing from Boyes so far... But I also wouldnt mind Cappy rewarding the players that are bustin it game in and game out. Okposo is lost so drop him down. Ullstrom plays a similar game but is so much faster and better on his skates then Okposo. He would open the ice up for JT and Moulson. I like Cizikis energy and would like to see him as the 3rd line center too. As bad as Reasoner is, he is a main guy on the PK, so I dont think he will be scratched anytime soon. |

I say that you just drop Okposo off the side of a cliff and put Bailey in there. Ko is useless right now. He should be sitting with DP |

Casey and Martin deserve some more ice time.
With Nino and Strome coming soon... I think we are almost @ a point where we need to make a move to solidify the top 2 lines.
We need to give JT a true top line talent guy.
It may be time to put some type of trade together.
Too many 3rd and 4th liners in the mix.
Once Bailey is back for 10 games or so... it will be time to evalute guys like him and KO and their spot on the team.
I love what Martin, Casey, and Ullstrom bring to this team. I like them as our 3rd line going forward.

KO's two biggest problems - balance on his skates (should have spent the offseason with JT's skating instructor) and the one that pisses me off the most - one hand on the stick. Tape his hands to the stick in practice until it sinks in, this is why he loses possession and when he does have a chance to check someone that it's ineffective. Two hands on the stick, basic fundamental hockey. Learn it.

Good God...for the better part of last season, Bailey skated around more clueless than Okposo on his worst day this year...and that ain't saying much.
Okposo in no way, shape or form deserves to be on the top line, but I cannot consider Bailey a top six forward until he proves something. I know he had a strong finish last season points-wise, but I think people are forgetting just how awful he was for most of last season. Maybe this is his breakout year that we're all waiting for, but I'm pretty sure we ask ourselves that question at the start of every season, and so far, the answer has been no. |

Id love to see:
Moulson-JT-Strome
Grabner-Nielson-Bailey
Martin-Cizikis-Ullstrom
Pretty solid top-9 and they still have plenty of talent in the system to make a trade to improve it and the defense. (I know Strome is a Center but for the time being put him on JT's wing.) |

I wouldn't mind seeing Ullstrom on the top line, Okposo on the 2nd and Bailey on the 3rd. Let Bailey earn his way up take the spot from Okposo on the 2nd line. I know he's a kid, but I think Ullstrom busts his ass (unlike Okposo) and plays a similar game to Okposo....just better. Reward him with a look on that line. |

While I agree with your later statement on Ullstrom joining the top line (I've said this for a while now), remember that Bailey's play picked up dramatically after being moved to wing. Playing winger allows him to think a little less and just play. He carries far less defensive responsibility that way. |

I totally agree with you! I am looking forward to see Casey and Ullstrom play for us for next couple of years.
As we realize that we would have reinhart, nino, strome and etc. I feel that it is proper for the lineup to look like this next year but we have to realize that we would be in Brooklyn and they probably want a big shot name. but I always wanted to see like this.
Moulson/Tavares/Strome
Grabner/Nielsen/Nino
Ullstrom Cizikas Martin
Aucoin//Reasoner/Boulton
Hamonic/Macdonald
Streit/Strait
Visnoysky/Reinhart
