you think Burns stays up front ? he seems extremely comfy and confident. It's nice to see him healthy and contributing.

you think clowe gets dealt? he is looking frustrated more and more.

playing him up front seems to be working for now, no worries with burns.

I would make that trade in a heartbeat, not sure Buffalo would.

I've always wondered what kind of numbers a guy with his size, speed and skill would put up as a top 6 forward for an entire season. He's more valuable as a d-man than a winger though IMO.

playing him up front seems to be working for now, no worries with burns.

i think they would or should.

i don't get how the sharks are so inconsistent year to year. they should dominate based on their roster. it's not working. joe or marleau have to go. either would fetch a big return. if it's me, i trade thornton. he'll fetch a ransom. imagine what a team like philly would pay to get him.

i think all but a handful should be on the trade bait sheet. i agree, joe should be moved. amazing player, but his time in san jose is over. Patty should be moved also.

Yeah, at this point San Jose needs to move those two, plus the other old guys too if they can get good returns. Build around guys like Pavelski, Couture, Burns, etc, and surround them with some good young talent.

murray, big joe, Patty, and boyle all need to be moved for picks and young talent. burns i think given the right time will take boyle's job and couture and pavs will become the team. i hated the mcginn trade, one guy walks the other is benched for a player with heart and energy. management needs a change too

agreed. the farm system has been depleted and trading those pieces for prospects or picks would help restock them. however, the sharks are still within their window of winning a cup so i doubt an overhaul would happen this year.

Big Bingo with the change of management.

I think moving Burns to forward was a big thing not because Burns is a forward but a change of some sort was needed and it sparked some energy for the team. Sometimes just some sort of real change is needed. I think the Sharks needed a change of managment for a few seasons. Trading Mcginn was a HUGE mistake, compounded by letting Winnek walk. Winnek and Mcginn are the types of players the sharks have needed for some time, now we see them coming against us.
