I am unsure if trading Clowe is really the right move for our organization at this point, especially after winning 5 of our last 6.

The rumor (or for you, rumour ) is that he has, indeed, waived his clause. I imagine that means that the only teams interested are contenders. My guess would be MTL or Bos.

It's the right time to trade him. I like Clowe but he needs a change of scenery and it's a sellers market at the moment. He is UFA and you won't get a better shot.

There are TONS of rumours going around about Clowe, everywhere I am looking. He is like one of the headline players of the trade deadline and that is something I wasn't expecting. Maybe he will actually get a pretty decent return and in that case I'd be ok with trading him.

Somehowe we actually gained a 4th rounder!

Addition by subtraction. We just got rid of our 2 slowest players Murray and Handzus. Team is looking faster already.

BTW, last ganme, why did they play Burrish on the Thronton line and not Kenedy?

I'll miss him on the shootout, but for whatever reason he never really seemed to work out in SJ. Good salary dump for a draft pick.

Well, they had Murray at D and Burns at F. When Murray was traded, we moved Burns back to D, hence the need to bring in another forward. Burish was sitting on the press box and got the nod. As for why he was playing on the 1st line with Thornton instead of someone like Sheppard or Galiardi (or Kennedy, if he is on the active roster right now), I have no idea.

Sharks are officially hot! Good push to increase our playoff chances.
