I think Schneider looked shaky with his rebound control after down 3-0 because it became difficult to keep focus. This team hasn't scored 3 goals on a goalie in the same game in awhile. |

Good win for the Sharks, but a pretty meh game overall. Canucks are a defensive team right now, if they score first they'll probably win and vice-versa. |

In all seriousness, "No Clowe, Nowe Problem." The Tank seemed awful quiet in the first period, maybe it was the rumor that Clowe is on the verge of being traded. Which I believe is the best move the Sharks will make this year. So far they have moved all their slow players for for two 2nd round picks and a 4th round pick, plus whatever ransom Clowe brings in. I got to think that Doug Wilson is going to innovate the GM role by inducing the sign and trade that many GM's in the NBA do. He kind of did that with Setoguchi a few years back.
Tennyson looked ok to me, wasnt anything spectacular and wasnt terrible. He was on the ice for both of the Canucks goals, but I will give him a pass for being his first game.
The Sharks will have to look to see about getting a roster player in return for the Clowe deal, they will definitely need some forward depth if they are going to anything in the playoffs. |

I think the Sharks could surprise a lot of people in the playoffs this season. You guys are playing really well right now, certainly looks like the team is coming together at the right time. |

Clowe is such a class act. So humble about the future of him when asked questions. I would take him any day if i was a GM. He has not scored but us sharks fans who know him know that his skill has not dropped at all. Just a off season for him. Everyone has them.. If clowe gets traded which i seriously hope not that team do not know how much of a great player and guy they are getting. |

If you want speed then trade thornton... do not trade the only people on your team that other teams fear when he is on the ice and the only player that defends all players when messed with. clowe is such a huge asset to the sharks in so many ways. clowe if a 3rd line forward and if stays will need a pay decrease. But i say trade thornton. Cause i totally agree we are a slow team bigtime.. Trade thornton. I don't think he has any 90+ point seasons left in him.

What do you boys think of the Clowe deal? Did Rangers get hoodwinked? Is he just snake bit this yr or are his better days behind him? |

You never get 'hoodwinked' when aquiring one fo the better power forwards in the game. If anything, I feel like the Sharks got the worse end of the deal. He is having the worst year of his career so we are moving him when his stock is the lowest. And I dont understand all this talk about him being a 3rd liner, He has never played on the 3rd line his entire career until about a week ago. You are getting a great player and team guy. Think Milan Lucic but with waaaaay better hands. Couture can attribute much of his success the first 2 years of his career to the passes and space created by Clowe. This is just a rough year for him. He will be back to his coring ways and be a fan favorite in no time. |

Thanks man, yea, I liked the idea of acquiring Clowe a lot for weeks since its been rumored here in NY. I was hesitant if the price was too steep but we got lucky cause like u said his stock is low. Hoping a change of venue can kickstart his career. We'll see starting tonight. |

Now that the trade deadline has passed, analysis of the trades moves by the Sharks over the last 10 days or so from our blogger? I don't know. But I bet he'll be back with a game recap later on tonight. |

How do you know that? He is 30, not getting any younger and one can easily argue his best days are behind him. I will miss Ryane's grit, passion and character but there's no denying that over the last 2 years his game was regressing for whatever reason. I think the reason why Wilson traded him was because he was unwilling to meet Clowe's contract requierments this summer (reportedly Clowe is looking for 7-8 year contract, 6 mil per, which is insane, IMO, but somebody in the East may end up paying him this). Sharks had to move him. Good luck, Ryane, except when you are playing the Sharks.
Interesting but Wilson got rid of probably our 3 slowest players (Murray, Handzus and now Clowe). |

Pros: You are getting a good teammate, a guy with great passion and character who will always stand up to anybody who is taking liberties with his teammates. Good battler along the boards.
Cons: Horrible skater, slow, a lot of times (especially recently) loses his head which results in dumb penalties in the most inopportune time.
May be a change of scenery can turn his season around, we'll see. |

I know it just his first game but the 1st period in in Rags/Pens game would tend to disagree with you. Ask any Rangers fan |
