The wild put those shots in great spots, not to make any excuses for Crawford. Big win tomorrow and were looking good again...GO HAWKS!! |

Pretty solid commentary all-around. I said the same things in my entry earlier on Crawford, Sens/Habs and Sharks/Canucks, and I'm hard-pressed to find anything I disagree with here. |

The Wild won it more than the Hawks lost it. Gotta have a bigger will. |

John Jaeckel: Here's What I Know - John Jaeckel
It wasn't the best of goals but Crawford was the reason the game got to OT in the first place. Team wasn't engaged for the most of the game. The Wild are Nashville with more skill up front - you play from behind against them and they will eke out a win capitalizing on mistakes.
Come out in Game 4 and make them play the style you dictate. One loss doesn't mean much. |

Bad goal yea but the hawks awful
Coverage didn't help the Wild played a perfect game the hawks played awful for 50 mins + had the hawks played the entire game like the last 5 if reg it be 3-0. Sweeps are hard to come by hawks will be fine. The wild players won't at as well as they did in game 3 and the hawks won't be as bad 4-2 hawks in Tuesday to go up 3-1 and they close it out in the UC in game 5 |

Hope you're right. Seems to me the Hawks might have to work harder to take this one than they thought coming in. Gotta turn up the will and the intensity. |

The cruel truth about goaltending...it doesn't matter how many great saves you make if you crap the bed with the game on the line. |

The first two goals by the Wild were great shots, backhands high over Crawford's left shoulder from his right side. But that game winner was another turd goal. Just cannot give up a goal from that location, and it was almost exactly the same as the first goal of the series.
I would love to see them deal Crawford this off-season, regardless of how this year's playoffs turns out, as long as we can get an established veteran. Not sure who that would be, would Craig Anderson be available? |

This is a valuable learning experience for him. No reason he can't mash Suter on the forecheck, especially with his size and speed.

Don't quite agree about the softness of the goal. Seems like d coverage broke down and he put it on a pretty small spot up there.
Anyway I do think its more a matter of getting the intensity up. They get a lead and sit back thinking they can coast to a win. We really need Toews to step it up. He did almost pull a Toews and win the thing near the end with a drive to the net. Wish we could get that effort from him the whole game. |

Any chance we're going to be seeing Bolland & Car-Bomb this series? We need some people to get under the Wild's skin...outside of the PHI v PIT or MTL v OTT fights during the playoffs, hardly anyone fights! And I find it pointless that Q keeps trucking B52 out there. The guy can barely skate and keep up with the WIld let alone his own teammates. I think Danny Carcillo can be that spark maybe we need. Our version of Clutterbuck in a sense. |

For the Hawks to go deep the best thing that can happen is for Minnesota to push them like Nashville did in 2010. As mentioned by JJ, the Hawks are going to have to compete and to do that they have to realize that, contrary to Wiz's idea that the Hawks will win going away with finesse, speed and skill they are going to have to win getting involved by rolling up their sleeves and play a more physical, robust and defensive game, that history has shown is the only way to win playoff hockey. While Crawford is a bit of a concern, the Hawks standing pat at the tradeline and not getting some physicality may prove to be a bigger problem. |

How much is Crawford to blame for the OT goal when it was a Pizza Man delivery that allowed the play to happen. Is Oduya getting beat up again this year? |

Watch it again if you can find the replay. Crawford goes down a long time before that shot and just stays down, leaving a larger opening. If he gets back up and hugs the post, as all goalies do when the puck is in the back/side of the net like that, it's an easy save. I know it's easy to be a MMQB, but it was a soft goal. |

No hope on Detroit winning their series. They're only down 2-1... And could be the hawks second round matchup. |

Too many other things went wrong on the last play for me to call out Crawford...
Shaw was paralyzed as he thought he would get whistled for tripping...Which he should have.
Oduya let a pass get through from a player on his belly and Stalberg was anything but engaged.
A "lucky"/perfect shot that shouldn't go in near side but....too many other issues to worry about Crawford yet.

All your concerns about Saad not being ready are starting to show again in the playoffs. Carcillo on Toews' left side for a game or two might be an idea. |
