I do agree that someone dumb enough to buy the Coyotes might be dumb enough to trade for Luongo.

If Richards is going to be bought out, why would Nashville need to trade picks and a roster player? Why wouldn't they just sign him as a UFA?

4.75 mill for Gagner, what kind of draft picks does that cost Vancouver?

Do you think that given the choice of 29 teams that Richards is going to select the Preds?

My top 5.

We should trade luongo and Schneider sign smith as Ufa. Could get a top 6 forward for each goalie.

No one is going to trade for Richards and that albatross of a contract. He'll definitely be bought out if he's leaving NYC. Will he sign with Nashville though? I doubt it.

Nyr buyout. Pick him up for 2 years at 2.5. Good teacher for the young players van will be bringing up.

Pass on Bryz, Buffalo doesn't need another shaky goaltender out of his prime, give the young guys a shot.

Richards has a full NMC. You think he would waive to be traded to the Preds when he can just sit back, force a buyout then go where ever the eff he wants?

Also 4.75 for Gags is not driving up the price. That's right about where the Oilers want to sign him. (4.5-4.75 per)

He's a RFA, that was his 6th year, you need seven to be a UFA, so ya, a couple of first if you get him.

But you can't. The Canucks cap salary isn't so good. They need 10 players with 1.75 million or something like that.

Do you think more than 5 teams show serious interest in Richards?

He will be bought out, even trading Richards is risky to the Rangers as if retires early they still retain part of the cap hit. He will be bought out. I can see him signing with a team like Pitt or LA for cheaper to try and win another cup. But, he won't be going to Nashville. He would be good as a compliment player and not the go to guy. Heck, maybe even Tampa takes another shot at the guy.

NYR's twitter account said "I got to start over".

So get Richards, move Gagner to the wing.
