Bye Bye Torts: Best joke yesterday on the firing of John Tortorella on Twitter; “What’s the difference between Jack Capuano and John Tortorella? A job.”

i made it one paragraph into this blog before losing my mind...do some research...Dee please stop. for the love of god stop embarrassing yourself.... this is a DEEP DEEP draft with plenty of value at 15 the islanders will get a good pick. Some have called this draft potentially the best since 2003. I'm sorry but this is a lazy attempt at a "news" article wrapped up in your boredom ,whining and self content....I really don't mean to sound like a complete douche but if this is more than a blog for you..you really should take a couple of print journalism classes

Exactly- Matt Martin was picked in 2008, Round 5, number 148; Andrew MacDonald was picked in 2006, Round 6, number 160. Think they're cr*p? Just because everyone Dinglebury picked at number 15/16 in round one is now waiting tables at The Keg in Toronto doesn't mean it HAS to be that way.

PS- A print journalism class is only necessary if you can't write sentences and spell words. The rest is MAYBE two minutes of internet research- you think I knew the draft positions above off the top of my head? I have a job, which requires my presence- I don't have time for that. I am a pretty good source of useless information, but I'm not THAT good. Here's the first step in the right direction: www.hockeydb.com

I pop into islander blogs occasionally. More frequently I have done this in the last few weeks. Does your blogger even talk about hockey? I thought this time was okay since it said draft, but nope. Made it less than a paragraph. It's actually pretty annoying.

At a girl, you show them that you are not going to listen to anyone. You write your blog the way you want to.. More stories on your wonderful little dog too.

I'd love to see #15 overall packaged with some other assets to bring in either a top pair defensive d-man or a top line RW. i would even like to see #15 packaged to bring in a top level goaltender if Garth isn't sold on Poulin or Nilsson. It certainly wouldn't be the end of the world if Garth held onto the pick and selected another prospect, but that pick is an awfully valuable trading chip to use to address the most glaring and hardest holes to fill on this team.

If there's a solid vet who has no place on a younger team available like Lubo they have a shot at a trade but I doubt any team is going to break up a line or d pairing.

She's terrible. We will trade you dee and DeHaan for Clouts. This way you get your possible top pairing dman and a half a$$ed blogger that you guys all secretly wanted. You have to take the good with the bad. Snow is working the phones.

That depends on how Snow feels about this team. I'd say there is a slight chance he could deal it if there is the right deal out there. Past history of course says otherwise. Very excited to see what happens this offseason just with our in house players.

Had to laugh at the title. Draft day is very exciting time, if you follow Jr. hockey at all. William Carrier should be on your radar. Played Jr. in Cape Breton last year. Hell of a player.

It's difficult to follow juniors in the states. There just isn't much coverage. I'll watch a game here and there but it's barely enough to form an opinion of any of these kids. Normally I have a better idea of what's in the draft than this year though. The Islanders making the playoffs has something to do with it. It's nice for the draft not to be the focal point of my year

There are so many things for this woman to be writing about. When she actually writes about a subject that has any meaning to anyone it's filled with so much fluff that she might as well be putting up her new cup cake recipe.

What do you think is going to happen this offseason with you guys? MacTavish possibly making a splash to change the opinion of management and show he means buisness maybe?

I tried getting a live stream of game 6 recently when i was in Punta Cana. It was a very stressful hour or so for my girlfriend and I. It ended with me getting scores from my friends via text message. I am a full blown computerphobe/moron
