Deep thoughts.
And somehow, I'm still worried about what this team will look like at the start of next season. |

I would like to trade Slo-burn but unfortunately he had a terrible year and his value is down. |

Nice, short and to the point.
Bill with the rumors higher then ever today that Bryz will be bought out what are the chances Flyers go with Mason only and just get a veteran back up? Or do they kick the tires on Loungo when he is bought out? I could see Emery as an option also instead of having to trade assets for the likes of Bernier. |

Really? Coburn is likely the quickest skater the flyers have on the backend... |

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: Next Move on D? - bmeltzer
I'd prefer they don't move Coburn. If they do, and Meszaros doesn't return to the lineup, then next offseason you'll be hunting for 2 top-6 defenseman again, and that's assuming everyone's healthy.
14/15
Schenn - Gustafsson
Streit - Grossmann
??? - ???

I still think Dangling Meszaros at the draft to move up to get Valeri Nichushkin is one of the best ideas I've heard. |

I don't think Meszaros has much trade value. |

I'd be more worried about Grossmann's health than Meszaros at this point... Grossmann's in a similiar boat with Bourdon. |

What if you package him with duct tape and a staple gun to hold him together? |

I am expecting Homer to go into an all out mad-man-like splash. I hope he does, at least. Hiller and Ryan in a deal? |

I really do think both Coburn and Meszaros will be gone. I think at the very least Laughton will be dealt for a young defenseman on the verge of making the NHL like Rundblad and you will draft either Ristolainen or Pollack. One of them will make the NHL team out of camp, or the 6th spot will goto Gervais.
And this extra cap will be used for a Number 2 Center, moving Schenn to LW.

The Malkin signing made me think a bit.
If it was 2004 and you had the first pick in the draft knowing what you know now, would you select Malkin or Ovechkin? |

Why would the Flyers trade a good, young prospect for a young D prospect like Rundblad? Where does Rundblad fit into the lineup? Isn't the young offensive D spot in the lineup already occupied by Gustafsson? Tough to be considered a contender with two of those guys in your top-6. |
