they have lost approximately 8-10 MILLION dollars a year since they have been there. It's a losing cause.

Here's a new concept they should try: You simply rename them the RoadRunners and you make them play on the road only! No home games...Just like a music touring band!

being in glendale i think is part of the issue. we were there a few years ago and it's so far away from anything. tough to get people to drive that far a couple times a week when they aren't all that interested in hockey to begin with.

Before you e-mail or PM me angered by my disrespect and misjudgment of your favorite team's choice, let me one make it clear concerning this specific draft: All team GMs and fans could say how they did great. Or how poorly they did. Because of the depth this draft class at the first four tiers (See Draft Tier explanations elsewhere on DraftSite…),this draft class, from pick 1 to pick 211, may bring major contributors and impact players to many NHL teams. Whether they admit it or not, NHL teams hope that the high character youngster they select not only graduate to the pro game, but develop into high impact stars, no matter which slotting there are chosen in. This draft provides MANY chances of unearth those type players.

My grades will be based NOT on the amount of picks, but on the possibility of the drafted prospects making contributions on NHL rosters FIVE years from now.
I will start by saying the upside of this class is by far one of the finest, but I and NHL teams cannot accurate predict NHL success for them at this juncture, just draw on my opinions of the player's canvass at this particular juncture in the journey.

Of, course I will bump up grades for team where they took my favorites, or prospects are clearly ahead of the curve towards NHL long term advancement and domination. Value in the players picked and where they are picked will also be key factors.
At first glance, I like a lot of team boards.

Philadelphia Flyers
Grade B
Samuel Morin (20)
When injuries continued to decimate the Flyers defense before the season was in full swing, they can take solace in the fact their drop in the standing provided a quality return in a strong draft class of defenseman and selected Samuel Morin. Morin still has footwork issues and despite being as tough as all get-out, has gap control issues and trouble in his pivots. The interesting thing is that Hägg has similar issues defensively but has a lt more up-ice ability and game. That doesn't discount their upside. Their remaining five picks went to more long range guys with Goulbourne, Amorosa, Madsen, and Drake.

hahahaha! its so true. I've visited Glendale and Westgate a few years ago. I loved it, it was a great place to spend a holiday and catch an oilers game (before the jets were back!). I've always felt for the Yotes fans as no fan should have to go through the pain of losing a team. With that all being said, the NHL is a business and they fleeced the city of Glendale. Its an embarrassment to a city who is bleeding money and supporting the white elephant. 5 years the loses will have been over 50 million, they'll be allowed to move the team (that they now own) to another market. The truth is RSE did this deal in anticipation of moving the team I'm quite sure of it.

More money down the black hole, thanks to the Revenue Sharing B.S. Sick of paying higher ticket prices, so we can subsidize this loser team......fold it, or move it!
