He probably would have been a 1st round pick this past year if he was 18, not just drafted. Was a ppg player on a bad team.
If he was draft eligible this year, he would probably be the 1st overall.

That was kind of a stupid comparison imo. It was more because they were both from Cole Harbour, went to Shattuck-St. Mary's on route to the Q. Both were centers and similar builds.
Mackinnion looks to be a great player, but McDavid at this point in time, seems like a more apt comparison.

Doesn't this happen every year? We heard about McKinnon 2 years ago. We heard about Kessel and Angelo Esposito as sure-fire first overalls 2 years before their drafts. I feel like we always know who is the most highly touted for the next few years.....

MacKinnon only got mentioned in the same breath as Crosby because of the Cole Harbour and Shattucks connections... on the ice, there's not even a case worth making.
