Its either Schroader, Gaunce, Horvat, Richardson or trade/signing |

The No. 1 key to any good third-line centre is to win face-offs.
Funny, I was always under the assumption the key to being a good 3C was being excellent in your own zone |

If you've got the puck you don't need to worry about that do you. |

I'm hoping for Gaunce can win that role next year. |

Dave Bolland is one of, if not the best 3rd line, shutdown center in the NHL...He can't win a face off to save his life. Just saying. |

Not having one of Gaunce or Horvat centering the third line I think would be a big mistake. |

It's doubtful that either is ready.
Gaunce definitely isn't.
No offence, but it's mostly people who haven't watched a lot of these guys who are campaigning for them to get a spot before they've even played against adults.
I haven't seen enough of Horvat to write him off, but I have seen enough of Gaunce—he needs more time.
They likely both do.
The jump in competition between the CHL and the NHL is huge. |

One of the worst lineups in the league. - Leafland
Yeah, they're really lucky they don't have to play the Leafs too many times this year. |

I do think they can learn on the fly, but it would be detrimental to the teams success; and their development. |

As mentioned, Gaunce, Horvat & Shinkaruk should all be returned to junior for another year. |

Im a huge Canuck follower over the years, but I have to say I really don't like there mix of forwards entering this season. The sooner Gaunce, Horvat, Shinkaruk and Jensen get there chance the better, the future cant come soon enough. Sedin Sedin and Kesler are solid top 6 players, Booth makes me nervous as a top 6 player, seems to have difficulty handling the puck in tight in give and go situations. I see Booth as primarily a good north/south 3rd line player that drives the net with his speed size and reach and smashes home the garbage. Burrows should also be a 2nd/3rd line tweener like Sameulsson was. Not a shoe in top 6. I know Burrows is basically a 28-30 goal man last 4 years but thats with the Sedins. The Canucks need more players like Kesler/Sedins that drive the play in there top 6. As of now I see Kassian and Schroeder getting top 6 out of necessity.
Sedin Sedin Kassian
Burrows Kesler Schroeder
Booth Santorelli Hansen
Higgins Richardson Weise

I think Jensen might be the only one close and I was pretty confident earlier that he would make the team. Right now I am on the bubble with him. He has played with men which gives him an advantage but making the adjustment to the speed and size of this league can be very difficult for players to adjust to physically as well as mentally. Especially with skill players. |

Geez, kassian on the top line? Hes terrible, hes a huge bust. Hes best suited in a 3rd/4th line role. |

*shutters*
46% at the dot last year
Courturier is another excellent 3C in the league and he was 43.9%
Brandon Sutter is another one and he is only 50% on the head every year

The final three are bolded because I planned to only have 20, and we have 23 who want to play.
We can discuss whether we want to expand to 23 or 24, but I'm definitely not going to take anymore names.
The league is created, but the rules are still flexible, so if you have any suggestions PM me or Nucker.
The only rule that is totally set is the number of playoff teams, which is 8.
This is a dynasty league, and the players on your roster at the end of the season will be the players you start with the next year, at least before the draft and free agency commence.
**If you think you will lose interest or not be able to set a lineup regularly, please withdraw your name**
We want this league to be competitive.
The draft is set for Sunday September 29th at 6:45 pm Pacific time.
If that doesn't work for enough people I can change it. Let me know.
I'll send invites out to the first 20 who joined, and we'll decide on the final three.

I think our third line center will do alright this year, he's decent in the circle and has the ability to pass. Good luck Henrik! |

I'd just like to take a moment to ask a question.
Why does everyone assume that Torts is going to only change the bottom 3 lines a little?
Bring out the blender. And there's nothing wrong with my profile pic. Denial is comforting. |
