nah. he was very patient and poised. did a good job drifting into open space and the finish was just sick. that said, Edmonton needs to win this year and blogs about the high points in losses won't cut it.

Sure, nice play. He's got talent. He also tries to dangle too much and loses the puck often.
Hemmer is playing for his contract. I've long suspected that Hemsky has an arrangement with MacT to the effect that if Hemsky plays well and contributes now when the Team needs him most, he'll be traded at the deadline to a contender or at least a playoff team. That way the Oil can realize a much better return than the Oil could have gotten for him the past year. It's a win-win.

Sorry, but you're making too much of it. It all came down to one thing. Wheeler (I thought it was Little) blew his check. That's all. Ended up on his ass with Hemmer having a free shot from prime position. He had just a few seconds previously made some terrible plays, but then one lucky break and he's good again?

I still want him gone.

I rather enjoyed it.

If Ovechkin had scored that goal, it would have been on every channel, there would have been songs written about it, ESPN/TSN/CBC/Sportsnet/FOX etc each would have made documentaries about it, there would have been merchandise created because of it, and there would have been at least 15 "Ovechkin Goal" amusement parks built.

Hopefully he can keep playing well and not get injured so he can get us something of value at the trade deadline

Nice goal but terrible defending...wheeler swinging his stick and then totally quitting on the play.

Jets are gonna get eaten alive in the west they play way too loose. They were lucky to win that one and Oilers play a similar style. Wakeup call is coming for the Jets

Michael Bay will direct it... As Hemsky Ovechkin dekes out each "defender" they explode for some reason.

NHL 14' will have one mode... "Recreate the Ovechkin Goal." The only other feature in the game will be interviews from celebrities, and each player in the league, stating their opinions on the goal.

So I'm watching The Jeffrey Dahmer Files on Netflix... 6 minutes in he says, "I've been surviving mostly on McDonalds, it's so much easier just to pop in the restaurant, but like I said before, it gets too expensive... I have to start eating at home more."

So there you have it, folks... That's probably why he started eating people. Because fast food cost too much.
