Better prepare well for the Jets. They won't be holding back as much as the Canes did, and those guys didn't hold back much.

If you look at both of the 1st to goals, as well as many others this year, have come from Dmen jumping up and getting involved offensively (something the Avs aren't used to for the past 4 years).

Also the D is getting a lot of help from the forwards as well. Its weird its like we are playing as a team or something .

When I watch Roy's Avalanche playing it reminds me of when the Blues got Hitch and what he did for them.

Although I still think the Avs really need to work on their transition game. The Avs also having the highest PDO in the league worries me a tad too. Still though, I am really starting to think the Avs can beat anybody (not named the Sharks) right now.

They're going to need to shape up and actually make that happen. It'll give an even bigger statement once they beat more strong foes that are expected to break them like twigs.

Yeah...

Boston, Pit, Toronto, Anaheim, Preds, and Detroit are all in playoff position right now. We're 5-1 against those teams, that's #1 #2 and #3 in the East and #4 in the West that we've beaten.

There is no way anyone can say we've had an easy schedule or that we have not been tested.

10 games is just that... 10 games.

Guess what? None of the teams we've played were projected to be below us in that standings by most experts.

I'm worried our goal tending will fall from grace, but our current record has nothing to do with soft competition. Hell exactly half of our games have been on the road as well.

Agreed. This is no fluke. Obviously, it's going to be impossible to keep up this pace but I don't see the Avs having any sort of drastic drop-off, barring key injuries. Amazing how much impact a coach can have on a team. Good luck guys!

the habs of last year? double proof that a change in the dressing room and management can do wonders.

"I've said before, going from where we've been last year and the year before and the year before that, it feels great right now,” said Matt Duchene. ”But you can't be satisfied. We know how fast it can turn.”

I'm glad they realize the need to maintain and improve themselves. Complacency will only kill them.

Now Dutchy will need to utilize his speed often and frequently in front of Big Buff tomorrow and throw him off his game. The Avs haven't beaten the Jets just yet if I remember correctly.

Credit management big time. Solid coach with a great staff, got rid and brought in the right players to mix it up, drafted well.

All the game the team an identity for once, and playing as a team, they are not just a bunch of fast kids who try really hard anymore.
