Nice to see some of the Oil showing they still have a pulse! I think MacT should worry about fixing the goalie situation in the spring or summer...he should work on the immediate needs .....obtaining some sun blocking power forwards and some 1-2-3-4 defence!

You gotta give to get. I wouldn't fret about a struggling young d prospect when we get a top pairing dman and one of the top young winger with size prospects out there

I still think Klef will turn into a player. And the jury is still out on Samuelsson.

I think Yandle again is similar but better versions of Jultz/Petry. If Yandle is in I'd be betting one of them is out.

Edit: Not going to get into the whole argument again but its similar to the Letang argument. Yandle is better than what we have. But is not the ideal fit for what we need. If he's the only one available he is an upgrade, but that still leaves us needing shutdown net clearing presence.

tinordi? lets say nothing happens trade wise this season, you wouldnt have to give up the farm for him but could fit nicely next season or even this one.

I don't think Yandle is gonna put us over the top by himself. We need 2 defensemen regardless. Also Samuelsson is better than any prospect we have on offense. Klefbom might turn out in a couple more years but we need to stop banking on what ifs. Also adding Yandle to this team would most likely make the pick we're giving up climb out of the top 5.

The Pens played one of their worst games this year. Like you often see, with the NHL grind, it's tough for teams to get up for every game. The Hawks will not be happy campers going into today's game. I hope to see more effort for the full game from the Oil who finally gave that effort vs Pitt.
If the Hawks blow us out, that will impact the fragile new-found confidence of the Oil.
Should be a fun game to watch, especially so if we can start a win streak, but I'm not predicting a win. Our only hope is a tired Hawks line-up and Dubs stands on his head.

I'd do it but make the first top 5 protected or they get our 2015 first. We lose the trade in value but klefbom is 3+ years away from making an impact and defensive prospects is something we have plenty of
