Thanks for sharing JJ. I was wondering if McNeill might interest the Canucks since he is from the Vancouver area. When the Pirri deal went down, I was wondering if the 3rd round pick allows the Hawks to deal their 3rd round pick in any possible deals.

You are the Blackhawks, we are the Panthers. This means you will get Kulikov.
Btw, thanks for Pirri! |

Boy if the Hawks could get Kesler... that would be very very interesting.
JJ: While I agree with you dealing with the Canucks probably isn't going to happen, if you have multiple offers and the Hawks are the best offer by far.. hard to see the Canucks passing it up simply because of the outstanding "situation". |

Can't blame them for trying! re: Kesler |

Brodeur backing up Crawford would make me feel a lot better going into the playoffs. |

Kris Russell isn't going anywhere. Didn't he just sign a 2-year extension in Cal-GARY? |

can someone explain the pirri trade, he was drafted in the second round. . . doesnt make sense unless the needed to clear a contract, but even then you would move someone else

Oh boy. You should consult with Ogi, EKolb13 and Unnamed Source on this trade. They are experts in Pirri analysis. |

Kean'r...McNeill's actually from Edmonton, but is a Westerner nonetheless.
If he's on the block...i guess the brass saw what i did....NOT MUCH...yet they burned a first round pick on him.
B-52 re-upped for 3 more too. Happy for him. He EARNED IT

I remember leading up to the draft, there was talk that the Hawks were interested in JT Miller, but he was drafted a few spots ahead of McNeill.
From what I've seen of him (albeit, not much) I was not that impressed. Danault on the other hand, I like. |

I can see the Brodeur one happening if A) we don't have to give up much to get him as a rental and B) he really wants one last shot at another cup before hanging them up and giving up the "played with one team his whole career" thing isn't an issue for him. He wouldn't be coming here to start so would getting another ring by being on the bench be more important to him than being with the Devils his whole career?
NJ has their goalie of the future and I would also be a lot more comfortable with Brodeur backing up Crow in the playoffs. If he gets injured you have the unknown with Raanta. Sure he could step up and win with this team but when you have a window of opportunity with your core in their prime I can see having the insurance of a known winner on the bench versus a rookie with no experience. |

Our scouts have whiffed a lot in the first round, outside of the Batman and Robin SLAM DUNKS. |

It's a lot easier to hitch your wagon to a sure thing when you're drafting in the first 3 picks, though. |

It is except 2 teams passed on Toews and Tallon, to his credit, resisted pressure to trade down, stuck to his guns and took Kane. |

Weak skater, weak on the puck, weak defensively but he is a smart player and can create offense. The Blackhawk game is based around good hockey IQ, strong skating, defensive awareness and puck control. Pirri shows well in only one category. There was never a chance for him in Chicago. I hope he plays well for the Panthers. |

not sure how much you're watched Marty this year, his tires are bald. can't string together good consecutive performances anymore
he really plays bad as a spot backup. he's always been a workhorse goalie playing 65+ games a year, him stepping in maybe once a week hasnt been good for him in nj, wouldn't be good for him here. he needs the reps, and when they gave it to him while Schneider was injured, hes shown he cant do it night in and night out anymore |
