Thinking about it, referees should not be in the HHOF because they technically should not have any bearing on the game. They should be in their own HOF and then see how many people visit it.
To include them means they influence the game as much as the players. |

Even having this topic fill a blog is an affront to all that is good and just.

This will never happen, if for no other reason, because the HHOF is in Toronto. And we all know that, had the called the high-stick on Gretzky, it is 100% assured that the Maple Leafs would have won the Stanley Cup in 1993. I mean, yes, they folded in Game 7, and the Canadiens were unstoppable that year. But Fraser stole the Cup from Toronto that year. |

Man, I could not have said this better myself. I completely agree.
The best called games are the ones you never knew who the referees were working them game.
Guys like Fraser, Koharski, Paul Stewart were self aggrandizing attention whores. You knew who they were because you dreaded seeing them on the ice for your game. |

The guilty look on Frasers face as he "Tried to figure out what happened" after Gilmour was high sticked says it all....

Possibly the worst referee ever...
He lacked objectivity but was extremely vindictive towards any players that mouthed off or criticized his calls...
Adam, you must be joking.... |
