Hopefully we keep Jiggy on staff after he retires. I think it would be great to have him around the young goalies on a daily basis since Allaire isn't at every practice.

Carrying over from the last blog. I think Jiggy will join the staff eventually if he retires. I think he has mentioned how he is happy living in Colorado Springs and I cant seem him moving his family.

Can anyone confirm if his son is playing minor hockey in Colorado?

I'm not sure if his son is playing here, but I know they live closer to Denver and not the Springs, which is an hour and a half away from downtown Denver.

From the start of the season, we were having so much fun making line combinations with all those forwards...amazing how thin it looks when you subtract 3 of them.

I think we can play with these guys...should be an interesting game!

What was the point of picking up Berra? Are you guys moving on from Giguère?

It sounds like he is going to retire at the end of this year. He has also been some what shaky in net and has had an ongoing back issue most of the year.

I think it's more the case of Giguere moving on from hockey.

and to extend time to resign him while having him already working with Allaire.

I like the idea of working with him now, point him in the right direction for offseason training so he is ready for Camp instad of taking a shot at tryign to sign him during the summer and then having to start work on him while the season is going.

Avs traded for him so he can be our back up for the next 3 or so years.

according to friedmans 30 thoughts:

3. It is believed the six teams to which Kesler would accept a deal at the deadline were Anaheim, Chicago, Colorado, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay. Only two -- the Ducks and Penguins -- were really in it, though.

Interesting that he had the Avs on his list.
