What's more shocking: the Canucks or the Capitals not being in a playoff position? You'd think it would be the Capitals with all the youth, fire power, and playing in the Eastern Conference. Yet, all we hear about is the gong show in Vancouver. You know the Toronto media is loving this.

Poor Kesler. Hate that he's injured. Although, it might help #tanknation continue its spiral downwards more successfully!

Is it that bad that when I saw the Canucks article, I ended up only thinking about Lou vs. Schneider tonight?

I don't expect anything from ownership or the team anymore. It's sad that after so many years as a Canucks fan I find myself not caring. I will always cheer for them but right now I just don't believe in anything coming out of this organization.
I think the only way change will happen is when us fans finally let them take a hit financially....

“Will he give answers that are any more direct that what we heard in front of the cameras earlier?”

Of course not! MG will continue to portray himself in complete control of any situation. He maintains control by not commenting and being evasive. He will continue to refer to more successful clubs as examples like Detroit and Anaheim which is a heck of a lot easier than addressing your sinking ship and being accountable for talent and depth. It’s time for a changing of the guard. Hopefully ownership will recognize this as they try to renew season tickets.

#TankNation is pretty much a full go now with Kesler out, Daniel out and Henrik likely still pretty banged up. With the season in the dump, give me a spot or 2 higher in the draft. And honestly, if you look at historical junior numbers, this draft isn't that bad as originally projected.

Good luck with that, billionaires tend to survive financial hits better than others.

I think it's more pity. (I'm not the media though, so i am not 100% sure)

People don't pity the Canucks, I guess you weren't here after the SC finals, people thrive on hating the Canucks.

I don't really give a sh!t about what the media thinks, but I doubt there's much pity.

Don't be hard on yourselves. You guys and your organisation (including Mr Michael Gillis) are lovable people. Humble, fair and lovable.

I read a Down Goes Brown article regarding the forming playoff picture yesterday. All teams mentioned were listed the same, applying pros and cons to the chances of each, until he got to the Canucks when he flipped the categories to have that nice dig that he couldn't resist.

I'd certainly say the emotion from the outside media isn't pity.

Well, we're not at the "throwing waffles on the ice" stage.

Hard to believe the Capitals, with all that talent, can't make a better run than they have. Some pretty strong teams when Bruce Boudreau was coaching there, still a fairly youngish team as well.

Brodeur on Canucks goaltending "two of the top 10 goalies in the league and you turn around 12 months later and you don’t have one of them?"

Our man, Mike Gillis.

Boudreau frequently gets out coached in the playoffs. Wait and watch the Ducks this year.

You can see the glee in Dregers eyes when he talks about the Canucks now.

Never get to that stage.

Hey i do have a question though. Does that guy (don't really know the name) K3GO or something still post here. He was your equivalent to Spatso, RogerRoper, Every Oilers fan, Garth. Like Gillis was awesome type of stuff

Yeah, I think he's great as a regular season coach since he's a laid-back player's coach but it doesn't seem to translate for him in the playoffs. We'll see though, maybe his players were part of the problem in Washington.
