Flyers were going to have a bad game. We saw it coming with Mase saving their butts for 20 minutes at a time. |

It was a tough game to watch. The Kings simply had more jump then the Flyers. Sooner or later, there was a going to be a let down. Now, they just need to rest today and put a solid game together tomorrow night. They control their own destiny. |

Yup
Sometimes a loss like this isn't the worst thing in the world especially if it causes them to be that much more focused for the Rangers game tomorrow |

Tough game. The Flyers still made it interesting. Time to start another winning streak vs the Rangers.
Oh, and this kid is willing to show Vinny how to put a puck in a wide open net...

Think the flyers would have won the game or at least got a point if Mason was in net last night? I know they were outplayed, but LA didn't really get the best shots off and Carter took about nine years to release his shot that scored. I think Mason sees the puck better and would have at least had a chance at that puck.
Not dissing Emery, hes one of the best backups we could have, but Mason is definitely better. |

I doubt it, Emery stopped 38 out of 41 shots, including some big time saves. I really don't think goaltending had anything to do with last nights loss. |

I thought there may have been a carry over from the Blues game. That was a very physical game. Im not surprised it took them a little longer than usual to get going. Kings are also really good.
If they beat the Rangers, this game just becomes a footnote. |

Yeah they didn't seem like they were 100% coming into this game. It wasn't until the 3rd period that they started skating. You could just tell the "5 game wins streak flyers" weren't out there on the ice last night.
If they beat the Rangers it will be huge. They are another high Fenwick Close% team with a very low shooting percentage. |

The only thing worse than playing poorly and losing is playing poorly and winning. Hopefully, this game gave them the kick in the ass they need. |

I was reading down saying to myself, I am amazed no one has brought up Emery yet....then there it was. Almost as if I conjured it!

After all was said and done, the Flyers finished pretty even in terms of possession last night. They really dominated the third. Its a shame they gave up that momentum goal right after tying it. |

Im not saying Emery didn't stand on his head, or playing him was a bad move. Just wondering if anyone else thinks Mason could have stood on his head ... more than emery? lol. |

You sorcerer...
Other than that one play that led to Williams' goal, he played quite well, especially for it only being his 2nd game in a very long stretch of time. |

Maybe. Emery made some big stops. Does Mason make the routine save that resulted in the 2nd goal? Yes. Does Mason make every save Emery made on the other 38 shots? I don't know. |
