How about this?

Being bothered about Richards, Carter, and Williams scoring goals the other night is like being bothered that an ex girlfriend YOU broke up with 5 years ago is getting married. It shows weakness.

That should rile them up.

We should of never traded Richards or Carter. Flyers would be still playing right now

Im starting to calm down about Vinny. The Flyers wont be able to move him without keeping lots of salary. Keep him for one more year and see if he can get stronger with a healthy summer.

Make it a real low key summer for the flyers. I would sign either Raymond or Pouliot for the LW to bring speed and skating to that side, currently we have none of that besides Raffl. Sign 2 UFA depth Dmen. Jeff Schultz and Hannan maybe on one year deals. Sign a backup Greiss. That will all fit under the cap.

Roll 4 lines this year as best as you can, keep Akeson in the lineup, sign B Schenn. Rinaldo is the 13th forward enough. Do not retain any of our UFA's.

That is a pretty solid group there. If Vinny has a better year we can actually get something of value for him as his money goes wayyy down.

Oh and Laughton comes up....and Ghost will be able to buy some time with the phantoms in this scenario until he's ready. Hannan and J Schultz are capable. The D will look like

I'd swap him for Umberger. At least Umberger has only 3 years left on his deal and he can play all 3 forward positions without a problem.

Plus if you buy him out after next year, it's not too crippling a cap hit going forward

I'd actually consider that. Can't see Lecavalier waiving to go to Columbus, or Columbus taking on 4 years of Vinny at $4.5mm, when they can just use a compliance buyout on Umberger and let him walk with zero cap implications.

EDIT: Also, with Johansen, Anisimov & Dubinsky, they have zero need for a center as limited as Vinny

Didn't bother me at all; they're gone, been gone, aren't coming back.

If I worried about any/every player who left the Flyers, for as long as I've been watching...that's just not worth the time.

They're gone. Personally, there's plenty about this team/organization to care about on a daily basis.
