Couturier is never speedy, but now we know why his progress was occasionally glacial. Glad he'll be healthier to start next season. |

29 and French, huh? Not many European Frenchmen in the league I don't think. Let's hope the Flyers find gold again. - wolfhounds
Currently, there's Antoine Roussel and Stephane Da Costa. There have been a few in the past -- Cristobal Huet, Philippe Bozon -- as well.
BTW, during the NHL lockout last season, Matt Read played for Södertälje in Sweden with French player Damien Fleury and New York Rangers forward Carl Hagelin as his linemates. They were a dominating trio.
I don't think Fleury, who is a bit one-dimensional, could score enough to play in the NHL but I do think he could be a pretty decent AHL scorer. |

What do you think Philly's going to want for Lecavalier? Do you think Luca Sbisa will get it done? Suddenly there are a ton of centers rumored to be on the market. That's got to drive the price down some. |

I would take a 7th rounder just to be rid of the contract alone. |

Although Sbisa has not developed as hoped, yes, it would be just fine from the Flyers' standpoint. |

#TSN Insider Trading discussed potential Lecavalier move. Look for Flyers to be very active, specifically with a focus on Defenseman. #TSN

why is tim thomas in goal for china? ummmm......that doesn't even look like him. or are you kidding and my humor detector is broken. - hammarby31
It's not, I was and I don't know why. Perhaps it was the goalie's awful get up and the laughable idea of Thomas eventually ending up playing for China because Allison wouldn't help him. |

Very underrated part of the cup winning team. |

I'm all for giving a player who wants to try the NHL a chance -- he'll either make it or not, and it's only a bonus if he does, not a negative if he doesn't.
If he can skate at a plus-level, I have zero concerns about his age, and TBH, I'd be pretty thrilled if he does make it so the Flyers' fourth line is one where Zac Rinaldo is a 13th forward who gets 30 or so games, as injuries and matchups dictate.

Would have preferred Hjalmarsson or Rasmussen, but Bellemare's a pretty decent consolation prize.
I'm surprised they didn't go after Bud Holloway, too, considering how familiar Hexy is with him from his LA days. |

I like the signing. Risk / reward is more than comfortable. Adam Hall and Rosie? We shall see. They mined some semi precious metal last year in Raffl. |

I thought this guy was just a joke the other day. I don't think I'll hear his name and not think "Pedo Bear" during his NHL career, however long that ends up being. Thanks for that one |
